Sheldon Cooper and Amy Farrah Fowler's relationship is going where it never has before! (Spoilers ahead).
Thursday's episode of "The Big Bang Theory" marked TV history as geeky power couple Sheldon and Amy (or "Shamy") experienced their first sexual encounter ever.
Needless to say, the trajectory of Sheldon and Amy's five-year relationship since the "Big Bang Theory" season 9 premiered has been exciting. And the couple's relationship will keep growing, Executive Producer Chuck Lorre revealed.
Does this mean marriage is in the books for "The Big Bang Theory's" Shamy?
"Nothing is off the table," show Executive Producer, Chuck Lorre told FOX411. "The show continues to grow in ways I never would have anticipated."
"So...sure. Maybe. Certainly not, no or never," Lorre said of Sheldon and Amy's relationship heading towards marriage.
"After over five years of dating, we felt the time was right for Sheldon and Amy to finally consummate their relationship," said Executive Producer Steve Molaro in November. "And we're so excited for the audience to see the journey over the next several episodes."
Jim Parsons (Sheldon) and Mayim Bialik recently opened up about filming their first sex scene in the hit TV show.
"We do a lot of things on our show, so it's never really been about will Sheldon and Amy have sex?" Bialik said. "But it is a big deal, and Amy is shocked."
"There is a fear of intimacy with Sheldon, so he's worried he's going to wreck this for her," Parsons said. "Arthur tells him she's the right person, so don't worry about it."
Jim Parsons and Mayim Bialik laughed as they talked about the body make-up involved for the scene.
"Somebody was covering up my nipple," Parson laughed.
"Better yours than mine!" Bialik chimed. "We're both the palest people ever."
Before they got to such point in their relationship, Sheldon and Amy broke up before Sheldon got a chance to pop the engagement ring stashed in his desk drawer.
