With no official announcement yet, "Transformers 5" is said to begin principal filming next year, IGN reported.

Additionally, the fifth installment to the hit robot-themed franchise is said to feature a two-part plot, where new robots from the Autobots and Decepticon sides will be introduced.

According to IGN, the new "Transformers 5" movie will feature two plots with the first story dealing with Cade Yeager (Mark Wahlberg) leading the humans with new Autobots and Dinobots in their fight against the Decepticons.

While the second part will introduce a new story of the franchise with Optimus Prime's journey meeting their creators, Quintessons.

MovieWeb added that there will be new robots to be introduced in "Transformers 5."

The said new characters will include Blitzwing, Scourge, Cyclonus, Override and Red Alert.

With Optimus Prime leaving the Earth, a new Autobot leader will reign. Apparently it will be Ultra Magnus who'll lead the Autobots together with Override.

Meanwhile, Enstarz revealed that there will be three more sequels being lined up in the franchise following the release of "Transformers 5."

The publication quoted Hasbro's president Stephen J. Davis, who explained how the franchise will move forward.

"You're going to see a new 'Transformers' movie coming from Hasbro and Paramount and Michael Bay and our other partners. In fact, we just finished - as some of you may have read - an incredible experience. We decided we wanted to plot out the next 10 years of the Transformers franchise, so we got together in a 3 month period of time...nine of most creative writers I have ever worked with - shepherded by Akiva Goldsman, who many of you know won an Academy Award for 'A Beautiful Mind,' and written a bunch of great movies. And they plotted out next ten years of Transformers. Similarly we are doing the same in television and digital. So stay tuned 'Transformers 5' is on its way. ...And 6 and 7 and 8."

According to Movie Web, "Transformers 5" will be released in theaters sometime in 2017.
