In promotion of "Teen Wolf" Season 5B, MTV recently released 100 images on social media which eventually revealed to be pieces of a rather carnage-filled poster with cryptic symbols of what fresco is to come in Beacon Hills.
One of the many things which fans notice was an image representing Malia Tate (Shelley Hennig) who is choked in the neck by a woman who is unrecognizable since what can only be seen is her back. Movie Pilot, in its report, said that although the woman doesn't look that much of the character, it may be Malia's mother, the Desert Wolf, who "has a mysterious and unstoppable desire to see her daughter killed."
Youth Health Mag, in a related report, said that Scott McCall (Tyler Posey) and his pack may have to prepare for even more battles in Season 5 of "Teen Wolf" as they may have to defeat the Desert Wolf. The report said that Scott, being the Alpha of the pack, will have to step up with his leadership as they face the Desert Wolf, who is determined to get Malia killed.
As to why Malia's mother, the Desert Wolf, is so furious with her daughter, "Teen Wolf" showrunner Jeff Davis said in an interview with Entertainment Weekly that it has something to do with their ties.
"A lot of it has to do with her relationship with Malia, and the reason why she says, 'If she is alive, then I am just going to have to kill her again!'" Jeff Davis revealed.
Speaking further, Jeff Davis confirmed that in Season 5B of "Teen Wolf," the Desert Wolf will be crossing paths with Theo (Cody Christian) and both will find out that they share common goals. Hence, both Theo and the Desert Wolf will be working together towards that goal which although Davis did not reveal, may put the life of Malia at stake.
"Teen Wolf" resumes with Season 5B on Jan. 5, 2016 at 9 p.m. in MTV.
