'Vikings' Season 4 Release Date, Spoiler, And More: Major Time Jump Hints Ragnar Is Dead?

History Channel is yet to release words regarding "Vikings" season 4 release date. They are also yet to reveal synopsis for the show's return.

One thing many fans are worried about is Ragnar Lothbrok (Travis Fimmel) and how long will he be on the show. There are speculations he will be killed off in the fourth season and based on this latest "Vikings" season 4 spoiler, looks like the scary thought followers have will become a reality.

Reports have it that this new season will feature a huge time jump with Bjorn (Alexander Ludwig) taking over as the king.

"As Bjorn is still young during the Season 3 finale, reports are saying that there will be a major time jump towards the middle of Season 4 in order to age Bjorn and be more fit to become the leader of the Vikings," Master Herald reported.

"The accelerated storyline shall also help in erasing the possible stigma of the departure of Travis Fimmel through the likely death of his character King Ragnar."

Just recently, Ludwig posted a picture of him on Instagram, dressed up as Bjorn, looking older compared to what his character was in the third season.

There are no reports how old Bjorn will be when "Vikings" season 4 release date arrives but this post of his is enough to raise rumors regarding Ragnar's fate.

Ragnar's team are still in Paris when the show ended its third season and according to series creator Michael Hirst, it will be a tough road for them going back to Kattegat. Is this journey going to kill him eventually?

"Some time has passed," he told The Hollywood Reporter. "The journey home took a little longer than they supposed. It hasn't been an easy run across to Paris or a straight run back. They'll have been away for a couple of years, something like that."

Fans also can't help but feel uneasy with the fact that Fimmel is getting busier now outside of "Vikings." The Australian actor currently stars in upcoming film "Warcraft" which will hit the big screen next year.
