Peyton Manning News: Latest Update On Denver Broncos Star's Injury And Return

| By

Denver Broncos fans are left frustrated by the latest Peyton Manning news.

There was his benching almost a month ago and the worst one, the plantar fasciitis injury he suffered. Brock Osweiler replaced him but the young quarterback is failing to deliver what is expected.

Osweiler needs to continue playing good, not only for his team but also for the starting spot. Latest Peyton Manning news says the 39-year old is doing great in rehabilitation program and is currently day-to-day.

"I have to see where he is," coach Gary Kubiak said of Manning according to the Denver Post. "We have to talk through his situation. We went through a good week, and gave him the weekend off. We'll have a plan in place on Wednesday, and kind of take it one day at at time."

In comparison, Manning and Osweiler are close when it comes to statistics. The older QB complete 59.9 percent of his passes while the up and coming player recorded 63.5 percent this season according to Bleacher Report.

Kubiak said he won't rush Manning's return and insists he may get his spot back.

"I mean, nothing has changed. Until I sit down and see exactly where Peyton's at, where we're moving this week," he said. "If we went out to practice today, absolutely nothing has changed today."

Broncos need every support they can get right now. They are currently at third place in American Football Conference and lost three of their last five.

Osweiler knows there is pressure on his shoulder while Manning is out and admits he is not doing a great job lately.

"As an offense it all starts and stops with me," Osweiler told Yahoo Sports. "I have to find a way to get our offense into the end zone and score touchdowns. Any time a defense holds a team to 15 points, I believe you should win the football game ... It's my job as the quarterback to find the open guy, get the completion, move the offense and score points.

"I wasn't making the right read at times," he continued. "I wasn't making the right throw at times. And it all culminated in a loss tonight."
