The 9th season of the hit reality singing competition "The Voice" has announced their final four contestants after a dramatic elimination funneling down contestants from nine to four.
According to Music Times, the semi-final on Tuesday was perhaps one of the most exciting episodes that the network was hoping for, thanks for the "Twitter Save" pass, that one pass through coming from Team Blake as well as a performance and guest mentoring from one of the brightest country singers Dolly Parton.
"I know that some of you are going to have to go home tonight," Parton said during the show. "Just because you don't win doesn't mean that you're not winners. To me, a true success is being who you are and just hoping that you make a billion dollars."
In a report by WBIR, local favorite contestants Emily Ann Roberts and Jordan were expected to go to the finals of The Voice through national voting.
Jordan Smith was the first finalist to be called and this came as no surprise to many people who are following the show. His cover of Queen's "Somebody to Love" grabbed to no. 1 spot on iTunes couple it with a growing fanbase. Emily Ann Roberts was the second one to be called after a captivating performance of - coincidentally - Dolly Parton's "9 to 5."
Jeffrey Austin and Barrett Baber, both from Team Blake, completed the final four. Jeffrey Austin goes through to the finals after his Twitter Save battle's outstanding performance saved him.
Shelby Brown, Amy Vachal and Braiden Sunshine were immediately sent home after their performance on Monday while Zach Seabaugh and Madi Davis were asked to perform due to Twitter Save pass in the hopes that they will join the other finalists. Unfortunately, it was Jeffrey Austin who snagged the chance.
