For the last time for Season 9 of "The Voice," the Top 4 artists-Barrett Baber, Emily Ann Roberts, Jeffery Austin and Jordan Smith-battle it out to be come this season's champion, where they go head to head with two solo rounds and a duet with their coach.
Hailed as this season's frontrunner, Team Adam's Jordan Smith begins the "The Voice" Season 9's Top 4 showdown with his first solo number: a classic hit from "The Sound of Music," "Climb Every Mountain," which was given a standing ovation by his coach, Adam Levine, and other coach Pharrell Williams. The crowd went wild, too.
Emily Ann Roberts of Team Blake went next for her holiday song solo and took on Elvis Presley's "Blue Christmas" with a country flavor. Adam calls her the 'real deal' and Pharrell says Emily is different and special.
Next up was the duet of Barrett Baber and his coach, Blake Shelton, and together they made a rendition of Glenn Campbell's "Rhinestone Cowboy." Blake said he was happy with Barrett's choice for their duet.
Team Gwen's Jeffery Austin went next with his holiday song, the classic "O Holy Night." Adam said Jeffery's voice is capable of shaking a whole room. Gwen went emotional and told Jeffery that he certainly deserves his spot.
For their duet, Jordan Smith and his coach, Adam, sang The Beach Boys' "God Only Knows," which Celeb Dirty Laundry said blended amazingly well and that it matches the original version.
Barrett Baber chose Thomas Rhett's "Die A Happy Man" for his solo number, which he offers to his family. Gwen said she was like in another planet when Barrett sang. Adam said Barrett was one of his favorites and he was happy he made it to the finals.
Emily Ann Roberts and Blake's duet was next and they performed a Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers duet, "Islands in the Stream." This was the second time that Emily Ann is doing Dolly Parton and she killed it.
Team Gwen's Jeffery Austin, for his solo, did Sugarland's "Stay," which he twisted to become a powerhouse song. Pharrell said that Jeffery is an inspiration.
Barrett Baber chose "Silent Night" for his holiday solo, which he gave a soul and bluesy touch. Adam said Barrett is amazing and said that he is a big fan.
Jeffery Austin and Gwen went next with their duet, "Leather and Lace" by Don Henley and Stevie Nick. Buddy TV commented that the performance went well, except for two long notes.
For his holiday song, Jordan Smith chose Mark Lowry's "Mary Did You Know," which put the judges and the crowd to their feet. Adam said that Jordan truly is an artist, who has a vision for his career.
Closing "The Voice" Season 9 Top 4 final showdown are Emily Ann Roberts with her solo, "Burning House" by Cam and Blake said that Emily Ann just pulled an upset in the competition and may win the whole thing.
Once again (via Blasting News), Team Adam's Jordan Smith ruled the iTunes charts with all three of his performances in the Top 4 showdown for "The Voice" Season 9 making it to the Top 10. On the No. 1 spot is his holiday solo, "Mary Did You Know," then "Climb Every Mountain" at No. 4, and his duet with Adam, "God Only Knows," at No. 5. His cover of Queen's "Somebody To Love" from the previous week stayed today at No. 10.
