Megan Fox has been a very protective parent to her sons with estranged husband Brian Austin Green.
During an interview with PEOPLE, the 29-year-old actress revealed why she doesn't bring her kids Noah, 3, and Bodhi, 22 months, on the set of her latest TV series "New Girl."
"I took Noah for the first time when he was 2 to the set of [Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles]," she said. "It's a dangerous place for kids. He tripped over a wire and busted open his lip, so I've never brought my kids back to set."
Apart from banning her children on film sets, Megan Fox will most probably ban them from using social media when they grow older.
"I think it's really toxic for our youth culture," the brunette beauty told ET.
The "TMNT2" star further explained the effect of social media on young children.
"There is a hierarchy in schools of who's the cool kid based on who has the most followers and who has the most likes. It's a really terrible message to wake up every day and have your kids going, 'Who liked my photo?' and 'Who's following me?'" she said.
Brian Austin Green's estranged wife has firsthand experience on the dangers of social media for kids.
"When I was on Twitter for five days, I would have 12- and 13-year-old kids going, 'If you don't follow me back, I am going to kill myself.' I was like this is [expletive] awful," Fox confessed.
"Parents should pay attention to that and have your kids off of it. You're not ready for that [expletive] when you're a teenager. You need to be an adult before you can start messing around with that. It's irresponsible and it's dangerous," she added.
Megan Fox recently filed for a divorce from Brian Austin Green, but both continued to co-parent their children.
They remained amicable for the sake of their sons Bodhi and Noah. According to reports the reason for their breakup was her career, but she seems to be doing a great job balancing her duties as a mom and an actress.
