Conor McGregor - Jose Aldo fight in UFC 194 is arguably one of the biggest in terms of hype, viewership, and profit.
According to reports, the unsatisfying slug-fest between the Irish and Brazilian MMA fighters could eclipse what Ronda Rousey - Holly Holm match had in UFC 193 in terms of pay-per view.
While it is an incredible feat, McGregor is not stopping there. For his next gig, he wants to beat the numbers set by Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao last May 2, and he is confident he can do that.
"What did Floyd vs Manny do? 72 Million? I'm catching up. I'm only 27," he said as per Bloody Elbow.
"Them old motherf***ers were 40 before they got that. I'm only warming up!"
"I said to Lorenzo, and I said to (UFC CEO) Dana (White), I'm bringing in these big numbers. I'm bringing in these half a billion dollar revenues, like the Mayweather-Pacquiao fight has done."
He also says he is ready to climb to new divisions to achieve greater heights.
"At 27 years of age, with every record in the book, with weight divisions above, ready for me to go at, super-fights left and right," he said. "Tell me one other champion who has been like that. I'm bringing these numbers, and sky's the limit."
Dana White is optimistic about the kid. In previous interviews, he said McGregor is the current face of UFC and is the Mayweather Jr. of the sport.
"The first time I met him, he came to Vegas and we went to dinner together," he told Sportsmail days before the Conor McGregor - Jose Aldo fight took place.
"When I left the dinner, I called my partner Lorenzo Fertitta and said 'I don't know if this guy can fight but if he can even throw a punch, he's going to be the biggest star ever.'"
"Yeah [he can be bigger than Mayweather]. I mean, he is our Floyd Mayweather. If you look at is style and his approach, the talk, the brashness, the things that are said."
