Lorde Reveals Details To Her New Album! Follow-up To 'Pure Heroine' Will Be Different

| By

Lorde, no doubt, has become one of the most successful artist today.

Following the phenomenal success of her single "Royals," from her album "Pure Heroine," fans could not help but wonder when the Kiwi songstress would release a new record,

And following the celebration of her 19th birthday last month, Lorde revealed that she's now back in the studio working on a new album, New Zealand Herald confirmed.

"It's been a studio birthday so far you'll be happy to know," she said of her birthday celebration.

And what could her fans expect of the new album?

While her unique music style certainly wowed the public, the Grammy award winning artist is said to offer something different this time around.

According to MTV, Lorde has been collaborating with EDM group Disclosure.

Lorde worked on the duo's song "Magnets" and Disclosure was reportedly really impressed with it.

"How she wanted to change every little bit and really be involved with the whole thing is really cool," Disclosure said of Lorde's involvement. "It just reminded us to pay really close attention of every little piece."

And while Lorde has yet to really announce a possible shift in genre, the 19-year-old pop star has reportedly been hinting her interest in working on a new music.

"I wrote the last album about that world which was the suburb where I grew up and populated by my friends and people who were really familiar to me," Lorde said of her new album in an interview with BBC. "Now I'm in a different place every day and I'm with new people every day and it's a different vibe."

But while everything seemed to be all laid out already, Lorde admitted that she still has no visualization of how the new album would turn out.

"We haven't got some planned out 'this is what it's going to sound like,'" Lorde explained. "I think we're just going to start writing and when it starts to feel right, we'll know that it's right. It's pretty simple really."

"I don't know where the inspiration comes from for stuff. You work and at some point you feel you suck for the first 10 hours and in the last hour in the studio something great happens. You just never know when it's going to come."
