There were reports that Tom Cruise will be ditching the Church of Scientology for his daughter Suri Cruise because he wanted to spend more time with her.
However, only half of that is true because the 53-year-old actor is not willing to let go of his religion.
According to In Touch, the Hollywood superstar wanted to reintroduce himself to his daughter whom he has not seen for more than 800 days. Aside from that, he also wanted her to be part of his religion which Katie Holmes doesn't approve of.
"Tom feels [she] can grasp the main concepts [of Scientology] now," an insider said as reported by Hollywood Life. "His ultimate goal is to raise Suri in the Church, like his adopted kids [Connor Cruise, 20, and Isabella Cruise, 22]. That freaks Katie out."
According to the magazine, Tom Cruise will take things to court and fight for custody battle if Katie Holmes gets in his way.
The 36-year-old actress tried not to give any comments regarding her ex-husband's association with Scientology, but sources revealed she is ready for the fight of her life now that he is planning to have a larger role on Suri's life.
"After he finishes filming 'Jack Reacher II' in New Orleans, he's planning on making a big effort to re-bond with his daughter," their source revealed, "and maybe even try for more custody."
Speaking of court battles, Katie Holmes is reportedly demanding more money for child support from Tom Cruise.
"She's going to ask that the $400,000 a year in support she currently gets be amended to a higher amount," an insider told Life & Style. "While Katie's taking every acting job that comes her way, she doesn't have the ability to keep her and Suri living the lifestyle that Tom's fortune allowed."
"Her needs will only grow exponentially over the next few years financially, which has Holmes preparing ... to make sure she gets the money she needs," their source added.
It seems that Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes will be facing in court again after more than three years.
