Donald Trump thanked Katie Hopkins for supporting his policy proposal to ban Muslims from entering the U.S. following the San Bernardino, California shooting which claimed the lives of 14 individuals.
"Thank you to respected columnist Katie Hopkins of Daily Mail.com for her powerful writing on the UK's Muslim problems," Trump posted on his Twitter account.
"The politicians of the U.K. should watch Katie Hopkins of Daily Mail.com on @FoxNews. Many people in the U.K. agree with me," Trump added.
The 40 year-old columnist claimed that a quarter of people in the UK agreed with the Republican presidential candidate.
"The truth is a quarter of the population here in the UK are right behind Donald Trump and for a specific political party called Ukip, 60 per cent of their membership are right behind Donald Trump as well," Hopkins said in an interview with Fox & Friends.
"And for a specific political party, called UKIP, 60 percent of their membership are right behind Donald Trump, as well," she added. She believes that there are places in UK that have "completely transformed into Muslim only areas."
Katie Hopkins also disregarded the petition calling to ban Donald Trump from entering the UK.
"People here love to click on a petition it makes them feel like they're doing something." The petition has already more than 400,000 signatures.
A counter petition, saying that Trump should not be banned from entering UK, has collected more than 10,000 signatures.
In Hopkins' article in Daily Mail, she defended that Trump is providing leadership.
"After a Muslim couple gunned down 14 residents of San Bernardino, California, Americans looked for strong leadership. Just like after 9/11 when Bush made like a dog of war and took the fight to the terrorists."
Katie Hopkins believes that even if Donald Trump will be elected president of the United States, he still would not be able to ban Muslims from the American shores. "How could he possibly make it work?"
