Multi-talented music industry icon, David Bowie is becoming active in the industry once again.
With his play "Lazarus" commencing, fans can't help but wonder if he'll work on a new album, or perhaps make a collaboration with new artists today.
And while nothing has been announced, Gorillaz, who is currently working on a new album, may have reportedly teased a possible collaboration with 68-year-old legend.
NME took notice that visual designer and band creator, Jamie Hewlett posted on his Instagram an animated photo of Bowie in the early 1970s seemingly included in the cartoon band.
While this could mean something, bear in mind that this could just mean nothing as well.
Five years following the release of their "The Fall" album, Gorillaz has confirmed that a new album is well on its way.
In a previous interview reported by DIY Mag, Hewlett discussed his plans for the band and how excited he is working on a new album.
"That's next year," he said of the new album of Gorillaz.
"I'm working on it at the moment, and it's going very well. I'm very excited. I don't want to say too much about it, but I'm at that phase of experimentation. What I try not to do when I'm working in this creative period, the cooking of the mess, is go to other peoples' exhibitions and look at other peoples' work. I close my eyes, and don't want to know what anyone else is doing. Doing that has kind of ruined the creative process for me in the past, and I don't want to let that happen again."
Meanwhile, Damon Albarn previously told ABC News how he missed working on the studio for Gorillaz.
"I'm starting recording in September for a new Gorillaz record," Albarn admitted of Gorillaz new record. "I've just been really, really busy so I haven't had a chance."
"I'd love to just get back in to that routine of being at home and coming to the studio five days a week."
