With only three months left before "Warcraft" movie makes its way to the big screen, fans are clamoring to hear what could they expect of its plot.
And if you haven't been following the development of the movie closely, you would certainly miss the moment where director Duncan Jones openly shared details about "Warcraft" plot.
In an interview with 2p, Jones carefully explained the film's development and how viewers could relate to the film without being overwhelmed with the amount of information offered.
"From the moment I first talked to Blizzard, the plan was to start our film with the first time Orcs met Humans," he said of the "Warcraft" movie plot.
"First contact! I think that for a world with so much newness to explain, this was a wise choice, especially when so many people in our audience may not know anything about Warcraft... it was important that some of our characters would be seeing the world fresh as well, and that the audience could see the situation through their eyes," Duncan explained after being asked if he'd ever considered telling the story of the Burning Legion's invasion instead of the first Human and Orc conflict."
And while the battle between the humans and the Orcs is most likely going to be the selling point of the film, director Duncan Jones explained that he tried to introduce the viewers to the world of the Orcs and its desire to live a peaceful life despite the impending war with the humans.
"A Warcraft film should not be about a good race of humans battling an evil race of Orcs!" He insisted. "Warcraft should be about heroes on both sides trying to avoid a conflict, when villains leave them no choice."
And while the "Warcraft" movie will most likely serve as an introduction to the world of the game, Jones ended the interview with possibly hinting that there will be more upcoming "Warcraft" movies.
"Peter Jackson did a magnificent job of setting the table, for Tolkein's universe with his first Lord of the Rings film," he explained comparing "Warcraft" to "Lord of the Rings."
"I know that my job in this first film is to establish certain characters, places and culture while telling a story that a broad audience can be excited by!"
Adding, "Hopefully, if I have done my job right, people will want to know and see more! There is certainly plenty more to tell! I would love to be part of that process of expanding on the lore that makes up Warcraft, but it will all depend on what you, the audience, think of our first film!"
"Warcraft" movie will be released in theaters on Marc 11, 2016
