Jared Leto - Taylor Swift controversy is over.
The singer-actor has already apologized to the pop star after a video of him cursing Swift leaked online. The 30 Seconds to Mars frontman, who will grace next year's big screen as the iconic villain The Joker in DC's "Suicide Squad," is not done though.
Leto says he is suing TMZ who leaked the video posted on Monday. The multimedia personality insists the clip is "confidential, private and was not intended for public exhibition."
According to the lawsuit, Leto is seeking legal action against the gossip website to send a warning to the public that engaging in corruption of private properties is wrong.
"I have chosen to file this lawsuit not because I want to, but in hopes it will encourage more people to stop trafficking in stolen goods," said the document which will be read on Jared Leto's website. "To follow proper legal procedure and so that it may motivate additional consideration for the harm these acts can create, especially when the only intention is to simply further the bottom line for the companies and corporations that commit these acts."
The leaked Taylor Swift diss by Jared Leto spread on the internet swiftly.
"I don't like this at all - next," he said in the video of Taylor Swift's tracks from the album "1989." The clip ended with him saying, "I mean, f- her. I don't give a f- about her."
As expected, this did not sit well with Taylor Swift's fans. He was bombarded by hate comments. Before the fire get any bigger, he sent out his apologies to the "Bad Blood" singer and her fans.
"The truth is I think Taylor Swift is amazing + an incredible example of what's possible," he tweeted. "If I hurt her or her fans my sincerest apologies."
Taylor Swift is yet to release statement regarding Jared Leto and his video.
TMZ is also yet to reply on the lawsuit.
