On Tuesday night, "The Voice" Season 9 finally hailed the top 4 to compete in the finale next week.
Last night, Team Adam's Jordan Smith, Amy Vachal and Shelby Brown, Team Blake's Barrett Baber, Emily Ann Roberts and Zach Seabaugh, Team Gwen's Braiden Sunshine and Jeffery Austin, and Team Pharrell's Madi Davis battle it out to win the spot for the top 4 who will be competing for "The Voice" Season 9's winner.
The "Live Semi-Final Results" show started with "The Voice" Season 3 winner Cassadee Pope taking the stage with her newest single, "I Am Invincible," followed by a clip of the artists' encounter with Dolly Parton, this week's mentor.
Then the results came. The first artist to join "The Voice" Season 9 Top 4 is Team Adam's Jordan Smith, who has become this season's frontrunner-constantly topping the iTunes charts every week. His live semi-finals cover of Queen's "Somebody To Love," managed to clinch No. 1 at the close of the vote and even went above Adele's "Hello," according to TVLine.
Next up to be called and joining the Top 4 is Team Blake's Emily Ann Roberts, who was shortly followed by another artist from Team Blake, Barrett Baber, the last artist safe before the remaining artists battle for the Twitter Instant save. This means Blake has two artists now in the Top 4.
The remaining six artists were called out but only three will be able to sing for the Instant Save and those were: Team Gwen's Jeffery Austin, Team Pharrell's Madi Davis and Team Blake's Zach Seabaugh. Team Adam's Amy Vachal and Shelby Brown and Team Gwen's Braiden Sunshine were eliminated.
Battling for the Instant Save, Team Blake's Zach Seabaugh took on Tim McGraw's "Live Like You Were Dying." Team Pharrell's Madi Davis chose Crowded House's "Don't Dream It's Over," where she cried after performing because according to Celeb Dirty Laundry, her nerves quite showed during the performance and she might have known it was rough. The last one to perform was Team Gwen's Jeffery Austin who sang Ed Sheeran's "Make it Rain," that got his coach Gwen crying.
In the end, America voted for Jeffery Austin and he joins "The Voice" Season 9 Top 4 in the finale. Pharrell, on the other hand, is out of the running to be this season's winning coach.
