"Teen Wolf" Season 5B will be returning in MTV on January 5 but while fans await, showrunner Jeff Davis already confirmed that Seasons 6 and 7 for the hit supernatural drama TV series has already got a green light.
Christian Today, in its report, said that Jeff Davis has already revealed in his most recent interview that "Teen Wolf" is renewed for not just one but two seasons.
"I can say that I got something, I'm not sure if it will be used, because it's a 2 Season deal. Because it has 2 different story lines that follow up," Davis said. The report added that Davis does not only hope to have 10 seasons for the TV series but he also wishes to at least produce 1 or 2 movies about the Beacon Hills teens.
And while fans may be rejoicing about new seasons for "Teen Wolf," it is accompanied with sad news about some of the major characters who may be leaving as the show progresses. According to Christian Today, Davis said in a recent interview with Movie Pilot that he might change things up and let go of Dylan O'Brien.
"After the 2 Season deal if it happens, I would really like someone else in the lead with Tyler Posey, because I think I have to let Stiles go after that, maybe he stays, maybe not," Davis said. "Even as a recurring character would be cool."
Meanwhile, in a separate report, exec producer Jeff Davis also revealed that the second half of "Teen Wolf" Season 5 will see new villains joining the cast, with a new romance in the horizon.
One of these two villains is The Beast, described as an ancient Hellhound and one of the most ancient of werewolves. Another one is Theo played by Cody Christian who discovers his capability of transforming into a coyote, which makes him "very dangerous" and described as a "talented chimera."
