The movie adaptation of the hit gaming title, "Assassin's Creed" is going to arrive in theaters next year.
And while the project took quite some time to push forward, Michael Fassbender and the rest of the cast and crew have apparently managed to overcome the challenges to finally make the film possible.
Head of Content Azaïzia Aymar has gamely shared details on what to expect of Michael Fassbender and his character(s) in "Assassin's Creed" movie.
Blastr exclusively reported Aymar's tweet about Michael Fassbende's character.
Apparently, in addition to playing the lead character named Callum Lynch, the "X-Men" star is also going to portray the role of Aguilar as well.
"And Aguilar will be his ancestor in the past," Aymar tweeted.
While the movie will not feature Altair, Ezio or Connor, Aymar promised that, "It's possible you may find some familiar faces."
Aymar added that "we share the same universe. Elements of the film have consequences, as in our games, comics, and books."
Despite all these being made available in the movie, Aymar assured fans that they will not be overwhelmed with the amount of scenes and details in the "Assassin's Creed" movie.
"Trying not to overwhelm fans or newcomers w/ tons of references. The focus was on crafting an elegant story!"
"We may have surprises for you!" He concluded.
And in a seperate interview, Michael Fassbender explained how a game as complicated and context as "Assassin's Creed" movie could impose a huge challenge to not only the producers but the actors as well.
"That's always the challenge of something that's so dense, to really find something and pare it down and basically, there are so many elements to it, so trying to translate that to an audience, you have to pick key things," the actor explained to Movie Pilot. "So yes, that is part of it, getting through the density of it and paring down and engaging a simple story."
And in a seperate interview with Game Spot he discussed why it took so long for the "Assassin's Creed" movie to develop.
"You say it's a long time, but what I've found - it's all new to me, but starting to develop scripts and work on them, they take time," Fassbender explained.
With the release date all set next year, production of "Assassin's Creed" movie has reportedly started last September.
"It just takes time to get a good story together and we really want to do it right. It's exciting. It's going to start this year, we'll be filming in September."
"Assassin's Creed" movie release date is scheduled to hit theaters on Dec. 21, 2016.
