Following their fallout almost 20 years ago, could original Guns N' Roses band members Slash and Axl Rose set aside their differenes and finally perform a reunion tour for fans?
While that hasn't been confirmed yet, the recent reports claiming that Slash and Rose have apparently met this summer to reconcile sparked hopes of a reunion from the American hard rock band.
"It was probably way overdue, you know," Slash said of his reconciliation with Rose in an interview with Consequence Of Sound report. "But it's.... you know, it's very cool at this point. You know, let some of that, sort of, negative... dispel some of that negative stuff that was going on for so long."
Additionally, San Diego Union Tribune noted that the band's official website have already started to sell special Guns N' Roses merchandise with printed faces of the original 1987 lineup, Slash, Steven Adler, Duff McKagan, Izzy Stradlin, and Axl Rose.
Australian promoter James Young has reportedly also teased of the possibility of a Guns n' Roses comback,Consequence Of Sound reported.
"I heard the most amazing rumor this week, from a very well-informed heavy hitter in the Australian music industry," Young said of the band's would be performance for the Soundwave Music Festival 2016. "So what mega band could it be? I heard on Wednesday night that it would be Steven Adler, Izzy Stradlin, Duff McKagan, Slash and Axl Rose - the reformation of the original 1987 Appetite For Destruction Guns N' Roses!"
And while a reunion tour is not impossible, DJ Ashba reminded everyone that despite the huge amount of money being offered to the original band members, Rose is not interested in a reunion show if not for "art."
"I have never seen or met anybody that was motivated purely by the desire to make art!" Ashba said. "Otherwise, there would have been a reunion! The offers for money have been outrageous! He would never do a reunion unless it was for something besides money!"
