"Beauty And The Beast" star Emma Watson is not only looked up to for her strong sense of humanitarianism and feminism, she is also known for her impeccable tastes in fashion.
Now, she finally got a chance to combine the two things she loved.
"I think using fashion as a means of expression is brilliant," she recently told Vogue UK in an interview. "One of the ways I became a UN Women Goodwill Ambassador was through my interest in fair-trade fashion. Because so many women design and make the clothes we wear, it's primarily the working conditions of women that are affected by the decisions we make, so fashion is a feminist issue."
Daily Mail reported that proceeds from auctioning her clothes will go to Women for Women International. The "Harry Potter" actress was also joined by other celebrities in selling off their couture dresses to help women in war-torn countries start again.
The sale, called Wardrobes for Women, will only be selling designer items from several A-listers for only 12 days.
Keira Knightley, Diane Kruger, Chloe Sevigny, Lena Dunham, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Lupita Nyong'o, and Dree Hemmingway also joined The "Beauty And The Beast" star Emma Watson in giving up their favorite dresses and bags for charity.
Interested individuals may visit Vestiaire Collective, a website selling luxury pre-loved items, to see the items for sale. Daily Mail further reported that the said clothes are being sold for at least 30% less than their original price.
The British actress, according to Teen Vogue, will be selling her Christian Louboutin shoes for the sake of helping fellow women get a chance at a new life.
"These So Kate Louboutin heels were my go-to for many special occasions," she reportedly said. "I hope the new owner makes them a signature staple in their wardrobe, and feels great every time they wear them."
