What Do Prince William, Kate Middleton Wish For Christmas? Excited To See Son ‘Tackle’ Gifts

| By

This year would be the first Christmas that Prince William and Kate Middleton will celebrate as a family of four.

Although Princess Charlotte isn't really old enough to appreciate all the presents she'll get, her parents are clearly looking forward to spending it with her for the very first time.

According to Prince William's interview with The Big Issue (via Hello!) this year will be a bit more "challenging" than last year's.

"George will be bouncing around like a rabbit," he shared, after revealing that his eldest finally figured out what happens during Christmas. "If I get any sleep on Christmas Eve, it'll be good."

Thankfully, Princess Charlotte is still too young to be contending with her big brother in the "bouncing" department. If the recently released photos of her are anything to go by, however, it seems like she has her brother's cheeky streak in her as well.

"So that will be two children, one who suddenly appreciates Christmas, which could be quite challenging," the Duke of Cambridge added. "But I'm looking forward to it."

As for their plans on that special holiday, Prince William and Kate Middleton, along with their two children, will join the family in church "as we always do." They will later go home to exchange gifts.

"We'll watch George try to tackle his presents as he tries to unwrap them. It's a very different experience at Christmas, having a family of your own," the third-in-line to the British throne added. "It'd be nice if we got a white Christmas because we haven't had one in many years."

According to Celebrity Dirty Laundry, the Cambridges will reportedly be forgoing Queen Elizabeth's lunch to spend the rest of the day with the Middleton family instead, just like what they did last year.

Instead of following the royal's traditional Christmas day schedule of having lunch with the Queen before watching her annual speech, Prince William and Kate Middleton reportedly decided to have a "relaxed and family-oriented lunch" with the Duchess' parents and siblings instead.
