'The Flash' Season 2 Spoiler: Wally West Already Racing When He Arrives In Central City

| By

Wally West will make his debut in "The Flash" in second season's fall finale. Earlier "The Flash" season 2 spoiler revealed this famous comics speedster, to be played by Keiynan Lonsdale, will not have his power just yet.

The thing though is when he arrives in Central City, Wally already has a knack for adrenaline rush. He does not have any experience in racing against speedsters but he already felt what it is like to run at super speed since his hobby is drag racing.

"Where we meet Wally and how we're introduced to him, he's just a regular guy. He's not Kid Flash just yet. I don't know when that's going to happen," Lonsdale tells Entertainment Weekly when asked for "The Flash" season 2 spoiler regarding his character.

"He is also into drag racing, which makes the family dynamic kind of funny when your dad is a detective. It's pretty cool. He's fairly protective of himself and what it is that he does. It's difficult having to be introduced into a new family; really, a family with really strong personalities."

The actor also discussed how uncomfortable it would be for Wally to start a new life, especially to be tied to people with strong personalities.

"Iris is a really strong person and she's determined and has protected herself," he says. "When Wally is maybe getting into trouble, she is very concerned and does what she needs to do to help him out. It's that kind of thing: Does Wally want to be helped at all by anyone, family or not? That's where he's at. He's got his defenses built up pretty high."

Wally West is a hard-headed kid in the CW show. This is pretty much like what was told in comic book "The Flash: Future's End" where Iris asked Barry Allen to watch over a troublesome Wally. The two eventually got along and in the end, Wally got his power from the Scarlet Speedster. The difference in CW show and this comic book though is that in the former, Wally is a nephew of Iris while in the TV series, they are brothers and sisters.
