Will he have to go back to hell and face Lucifer to stop Amara from whatever evil she has in-store for the world? The stars of the show recently shared some "Supernatural" season 11 spoilers about the midseason finale.
After finding out that Amara was actually God's sister, he is all the more convinced that he should talk to one of the only entities left that would most likely know about her. Seeing as Lucifer is also called the "Lightbringer," he might just know how to trap Amara.
According to TV Line, Sam (Jared Padalecki) will turn to Crowley for help in reaching out to Lucifer in the cage. They most likely are successful in this since the episode's trailer shows Lucifer (Mark Pellegrino) greeting Sam from the cage.
Although Padalecki didn't really expect any kind of confrontation to happen this early in the season, he did assure fans that the brothers were still "very committed to fighting alongside each other."
Producers of the show have revealed as much in previously reported "Supernatural" season 11 spoilers.
It looks like fans will be left with a lot of questions before the series hibernates for winter.
"Episodes 9 (the fall finale) and 10 are my favorite episodes of 'Supernatural' in a long, long time," Padalecki shared to TV Line. "I love the twists and turns - none of which I can probably say without getting out of here alive."
CarterMatt, meanwhile, suggested that Sam may have to lend his body to Lucifer in order for Amara to be detained. After all, the youngest Winchester offspring was and is still Lucifer's intended vessel.
