Niall Horan And Ellie Goulding Back Together? Or Is Selena Gomez Getting In The Way?

| By

Niall Horan and Ellie Goulding looked quite happy as they posed for a photo during KISS FM's Jingle Ball last Dec. 1.

Their appearance at the event prompted rumormongers to suspect that they could be getting back together.

The "Love Me Like You Do" singer reportedly broke up with her musician beau Dougie Poynter recently and according speculations she's already set her sights on her former boyfriend.

Hollywood Life noted that their "massive smiles" at the event could be hinting "that past feelings could be coming back!"

They were linked briefly last year and even stirred some controversy after fans theorized that Ed Sheeran's song, "Don't," could be about a love triangle among the three of them.

Whether Niall Horan and Ellie Goulding are getting back together or not, the British singer wanted people to focus on her music instead of the people she's dating.

"I find it so frustrating that female musicians are constantly defined by the men they have or haven't dated," she reportedly told Elle UK. "It's like, you can be a great artist, you can write great songs, but the thing that everyone is going to talk about is some relationship they think you have had or not had."

However, recent rumors suggested that the "Drag Me Down" singer doesn't have his sights on his former flame. Instead, he's reportedly finally getting it on with his long-term crush.

According to Hollywood Life, the One Direction member was recently spotted getting more than a little cosy with another pop star. He was allegedly seen kissing Selena Gomez at Jenna Dewan-Tatum's birthday party last week.

Later, they were caught on video going on a date at the Santa Monica Pier. Although Horan's groupmate Liam Payne joined them, the outing still looked suspiciously like a date.
