Fifth Harmony member Camila Cabello and "Stitches" singer Shawn Mendes appeared together at the KIIS FM's Jingle Ball in Los Angeles on Friday, where they are hounded by the same questions about their relationship.
Rumors about them dating started after they collaborated for Shawn Mendes' hit track "I Know What You Did Last Summer" but in the red carpet interview with ET Online, Fifth Harmony member Camila Cabello and Mendes insisted that they are just friends and they are not dating.
"Yeah, we're just friends," Camila Cabello told ET Online. "He's like, one of my best friends. He's amazing."
Cabello also addressed rumors about Fifth Harmony, including Ally Brooke, Lauren Jauregui, Dinah Jane Hansen and Normani Hamilton, splitting up.
"We're working on our second album right now," Cabello told ET Online. "We are in the last few days recording. You're going to be hearing new music very soon, and that's that."
Cabello admitted that the splitting up is an inevitable truth they would have to face in the future. She said, "Obviously any band, any group, someday is not going to be together anymore."
"That's the truth. [Everybody] kind of knows it, whether you say it or not. We're working on new music for you guys right now-just be happy," she added.
Earlier this year, Cabello also hinted on an interview for Latina magazine that she thought they are going towards that direction: splitting up. "We'd be lying if we all said this is a picture-perfect thing," she said.
In a recent interview with EuropaFM, Fifth Harmony member Dinah Jane Hansen dropped a shocking answer when asked where she sees the group five years from now.
"We've been together for basically three years now and looking back... we're very, very happy with where we're right now," Dinah Jane said.
"But from here on out, we wanna hopefully win a couple more awards together... maybe build more music together as well. But I feel like we'll probably go our separate ways later on. That's the truth," Dinah Jane added.
