On Wednesday reality star Vicki Gunvalson posted on Twitter a shocking revelation about the Brooks Ayers fake cancer issue, saying that she and "The Real Housewives of Orange County" knew all along that Ayer's was only staging his illness, a stage 3 Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma diagnosis.
"I knew the entire time. I have decided to get therapy. It's been a rough year," Vicki Gunvalson's tweet read (via All About TRH).
The tweet, however, was quickly taken down and then Vicki Gunvalson claimed that her account was hacked, posting another tweet that read: "My account was compromised, no tweets have been posted by me in the last 2 days. #drama"
"Not real. Sorry to disappoint you," Gunvalson told her fans, emphasizing that she was not responsible for the tweet claiming she knew Brooks Ayer's fake cancer all along.
The day after, Vicki's publicist released a statement via the Real Mr. Housewife reiterating Vicki's claim that the shocking tweet was not posted by Vicki Gunvalson.
The official statement read: "A screenshot of a fictitious Twitter update was shared last night claiming to be from Vicki Gunvalson's verified Twitter account. Fortunately, we are aware of its original source and can assure you that it was not posted by Vicki or anyone on her team. Vicki would like to again take the time to thank those that have stood beside her throughout the entire ordeal."
Meanwhile, Radar Online reported that Vicki and her family are planning to get Brooks Ayers prosecuted for staging a fake cancer. An insider told Radar Online, "What he did was horrible and Vicki would absolutely cooperate with law enforcement."
"Cops and the district attorney's office would have a very clear path to conviction. Brooks is shown on camera with the faked documents, and later admitted he forged them," the insider said further.
The report highlighted provisions of California law stating: " any person who alters or modifies the medical record of any person, with fraudulent intent, or who, with fraudulent intent, creates any false medical record, is guilty of a misdemeanor."
If convicted, Brooks Ayers may face maximum penalty of one year in county jail.
