Childrens' Chuck E. Cheese's Dispute About Prize Tickets Leads to Bigger Altercation

Two childrens' dispute about prize tickets at a Tampa Bay Chuck E. Cheese's restaurant led to a bigger altercation with their parents and other relatives CBS Tampa Bay reported Tuesday.

"The two family members just got into a big brawl. All of the family members were hitting each other," Ashley who saw the incident told NBC 2. "Food was flying, and drinks, then (one woman) took the metal thing off the table and threw it," Ashley told NBC 2. Ashley's two children had pepper spray bestrewn on them.

Ten to 15 members from both families participated with one taking out pepper spray and hurting everyone inside the restaurant according to information from CBS Tampa Bay. Everyone then left the restaurant Fort Myers television station NBC 2 reported.

"We were coughing and stuff. So when the cops got there, we went outside and left. I just wanted to make sure it was safe. I was just thinking a gun was going to come out next. Thankfully it didn't," Ashley told NBC 2.

Law enforcement found the premises mostly empty when they arrived according to information from the Fort Myers Police Department NBC 2 reported. No one was arrested NBC 2 reported. The rest of the people were told to leave NBC 2 reported.

"We are deeply saddened that individuals would choose to behave in this manner in front of children and families," Chuck E. Cheese corporate office said in a statement to NBC 2. "We take altercations in our stores very seriously and have spent more than $15 million to date on measures to help ensure the safety of our guests," the franchise restaurant chain said in the statement. "As an environment dedicated to serving young children and families, Chuck E. Cheese's will not tolerate violence of any kind in our stores," the company's statement said.
