Tied for most number of wins in boxing, richest athlete in the world - these are just some of the records Floyd Mayweather Jr. holds.
Over at Russia, he just added another milestone that will go down in Guinness history.
The undefeated American boxer sets the world record in open training session as he led almost 1000 people in Moscow when he visited Russia this week.
"Floyd Mayweather is staying active in his retirement, holding an open training session in Moscow, Russia on Friday," Fox Sports reported.
"The boxing star invited hundreds of fans to attend the session, held in the ring at a local concert hall, and organised by Boxing Academy in association with Russian Timber Group and State Corporation Rostecheld."
This event was attended by 791 people to officially break the 2014 Guinness World Record set by 508 people. It was overseen by official Guinness World Records judge Sofia Greenacre who also presented the award to the American boxer.
This new world record by Floyd Mayweather Jr. is a testament that he is no longer busy with anything significantly related to his boxing career. He retired on September this year after beating Andre Berto to match the four-decade old 49-0 record of Rocky Marciano.
Although it is well document that he is already retired, some thinks will go back to the ring once more. One of whom is his own father.
"I'm not gonna say (if Floyd Jr. is truly retired), but I will hope one thing, if you ain't gonna fight within six months, leave the damn game alone," the older Mayweather told On The Ropes Boxing. "If you're not intending to fight between six months or seven at the most, then leave it alone because it ain't going nowhere."
Although he has doubts about his son's retirement, Floyd Sr. insists there is nothing left to prove for him.
"There's nothing to prove right now, he's done it all, there's nothing left to prove," he said. "He beat everybody that's in there, he beat all the top fighters that they're talking about.Floyd beat the top fighters today, he beat all the ones that they talk about being top dogs, he beat them. The ones that he didn't fight, he can beat them too. Like I said, there is a saying that goes along with boxing, your age plays a part and you ain't got that much time to be wasting."
