"I couldn't really afford it, so I was going to take some online classes and get some generals out of the way," Abigail told KLKN "And all that turned around yesterday."
Sailors received one check for $5,000 for tuition, and $1,000 for her personal uses from a Trinity Bible alumnus KLKN reported. Sailors plans to use the money to fund her education for the next few semesters, and basketball expenditures. "I said, 'Are you serious,' and my eyes just filled with tears," Abigail told KLKN. "It's always been my dream college to go there and play basketball, and go to a Christian school where I can seek God. For that to actually come true and not have to worry about those finance problems."
"My sister came home yesterday and was like, 'I have something to tell you,'" Sydnie, Abigail's older sister told KLKN. "And I was like, 'Did you win the lottery?' And she was like, 'Well kind of!'"
The customers found out Abigail, and her four other siblings had gone to foster care, and out again, making it difficult for Abigail to fund her schooling KLKN reported.
