How Well Do You Know Your Snapchat Friend Emojis? Check Out What They Mean Here

| By

Snapchat released Friend Emojis but according to several reports, a lot of users still don't know what these little faces beside their followers' names actually mean.

In light of the new update, Emojipedia released the meanings of each one that people can use for their Snapchat posts. Popsugar further reported that the new "Friend Emoji" characters are actually an update from the Best Friends feature.

There are nine Snapchat Friend Emojis that users have to remember when checking out and communicating with their friends on the application.

A gold heart beside a friend's username would suggest that he or she is your Snapchat best friend. This also suggests that this is "someone who sees every single aspect of your life on the app, especially the ungraceful ones."

Pink hearts mean that this person have been your Snapchat best friend for two months, while the red heart suggests that you've been messaging each other back and forth for at least two weeks.

A grimace Snapchat emoji on the other hand, could indicate that this person could be a "frenemy." Popsugar noted that this user could also be your "best friend's best friend."

Someone who is part of the group you follow and send snaps to but isn't your number one best friend could have a smile emoji next to their username.

On the other hand, seeing a sunglass emoji beside a username would indicate that you share one or two close friends.

Got someone who sends several snaps to you a day but doesn't get a response? He or she might get a smirk emoji.

A fire emoji, meanwhile, means that you have been in constant communication with this person for several days already. This goes away if no interaction is noted for 28 days.

A hundred emoji corresponds to the 100 Day Snapstreak. This appears when you have been sending snaps back and forth with a friend for 100 days.

Aside from the Snapchat Friend Emojis, there are also other meanings for other characters in the app. Check those out here.
