Tom Hardy is this year's IMDb No. 1 Star, dethroning last year's top star Shailene Woodley; and just as how he was surrounded by women in his hit 2015 film, "Mad Max: Fury Road," Hardy is the only guy to make it to the Top 10 stars list.
Tom Hardy, who currently played the gangster twin in "Legend" and as Max Rockatansky in "Mad Max: Fury Road," had also topped the IMDb's Top Stars list in 2012 after he appeared in "The Dark Knight Rises" as the villainous Bane.
"People know who Tom Hardy is, but his most popular years are the ones where he's worn masks like Bane or the face clamp in 'Mad Max,'" said IMDb managing editor Keith Simanton (via USA Today).
"People go, 'Who is this guy?' And then they go look him up. Just like they ask who the actress is in Jurassic World or the one in 'Fifty Shades of Grey,'" Simanton added.
The ranking for the annual IMDb Top Stars list is based on page views from IMDb's unique 250 million monthly visitors. Accordingly, the Top Stars and Top Breakout Stars of 2015 will be announced during the IMDb's year-end coverage on Tuesday, according to Freep.
"Game of Thrones" star Emilia Clarke clinched the second spot on the IMDb Top Stars list followed by Margot Robbie (No. 3) who will be playing Harley Quinn in the upcoming "Suicide Squad," Alexandra Daddario (No. 4) who starred in "San Andreas" and Dakota Johnson (No. 5) who portrayed Anastasia Steele in the box-office hit "Fifty Shades of Gray."
Meanwhile, Shailene Woodley ("Divergent," "Insurn, who was last year's No. 1 star dropped this year to No. 6. She is followed by Rebecca Ferguson ("Mission Impossible- Rogue Nation") at No. 7, Bryce Dallas Howard ("Jurassic World") at No. 8, Rosamund Pike ("Gone Girl") at No. 9 and Lily Janes who played lead in Disney's live-action "Cinderella."
