Two months after, it hasn't really changed. However, Brazilian Aldo wants people to defy betting odds.
He insists people should bet on him because this UFC 194 match can be a duplicate of the Holly Holm Vs Ronda Rousey match in UFC 193 wherein crowd favorite Rousey was knocked out in the second round.
"Whoever wants to make money, all they have to do is bet on Aldo," he told Bloody Elbow.
"It'll be the easiest money they will ever make in their lives. Just like what happened to Ronda Rousey against Holly Holm. That's not a problem for me. I don't know who decides who gets to be the favorite. I focus on myself. I know what I can do and what I have to do to win."
Most betting fans put their money on Ronda Rousey against Holly Holm since she is more popular and her wins were very convincing.
As fans should know by now, those most betting fans were wrong because Holm knocked out Rousey who is now in a lengthy medical suspension.
Aldo, who sports a 26-1 Win-Loss record, also threw jabs regarding his Irish rival's refusal to undergo drug test.
"He's not being tested In Ireland. I don't even know if there's a commission there," he said. "This commission had to be from Vegas or anywhere. We said that, like he said it a lot, we wanted to be tested every week at the same time, me and him, but it didn't happen. I'm being tested a lot, they come here to the gym."
Days leading up to the Jose Aldo Vs Conor McGregor fight on Dec. 12 is getting pretty intense. Just last week, McGregor assured people will see a "banged up" Brazilian once their fight is over.
"I just don't think he'll be there, we'll see," he said in an interview with UFC.
"If he makes that walk, and he is inside the Octagon, every single movement will get an overreaction from him. He's emotionally invested; there's too much in it for him. I feel him overreacting, overextending and then him be KO'd unconscious. [On what you'll see at the post-fight press conference] You're going to see the belt right there on the stage. You're going to see a banged up Brazilian. Hopefully we see that. It could be somebody else, but you'll see me there with a gold belt, a brand new, custom-made suit and a smile on my face."
