It wouldn't be until three years from now when fans would get to see the dinosaurs back again for "Jurassic World" sequel.
And while Universal Pictures has yet to provide further details about upcoming film, former director and now reported screenplay writer, Colin Trevorrow shared new information as to what fans could expect of the dinosaurs from the sequel.
Talking to Movie Pilot, Trevorrow revealed that come 2018, dinosaurs from "Jurassic World" sequel will no longer be contained in Isla Nublar.
"When we look at various technologies, they go open source at some point, and they proliferate - and I think of a world... a Jurassic World," Trevorrow explained of his plans.
"I changed the title for a reason. It's not just the name of a theme park, where we coexist with these animals in the way that we do now with other animals in the planet. Don't go into the jungle! There's raptors in there! And so there are all kinds of interests who have the ability to make these animals for various needs and purposes. There is potential there."
Meanwhile, Colin Trevorrow also took some time to clarify rumors of original "Jurassic Park" cast members returning to the sequel.
"There never was plans to bring back any of the original trio," he said according to Vine Report."
"I never saw a draft in which they were included, and I think I looked at every iteration at least once."
He added that Steven Spielberg's plan was to portray a new version of the classic dinosaur film for the new generation viewers.
Speculations about original cast returning to "Jurassic World" sequel started when Bryce Dallas Howard, who played Claire Dearing, granted an interview with IGN expressing her interest on having the OG cast lined up/
"I could see versions of the film where a lot of the characters come back, and just as a fan of the franchise, I would be totally stoked on that. It's so cool BD Wong was in this movie," she said.
She added, "Like any person who was a fan of the first film, I get such a rush at the possibility of characters coming back," she added.
"Jurassic World" sequel release date is set on June 22, 2018.
