Sony PlayStation 4: Microsoft Xbox One Game Console's Scarce Before Christmas

As the Christmas holiday nears closer and closer, Sony PlayStation 4 and Microsoft Xbox One game console's appear to be scarce CNN reported Tuesday.

Consumers have had to wait in lengthy lines or visit several different stores to see if they had the machine they were looking for CNN reported.

Other have vented their frustrations through their social media accounts with the opinion that the supply level was intentional so demand for the product grew even though their may not have been enough of the machine.

"Do you create an artificial shortage because you want there to be a feeding frenzy? No you don't," Jack Tretton, Sony's head of United States operations at Sony said via a PlayStation blogcast CNN reported. "The holidays only come around once a year so that's really when you want to take advantage of the market opportunity."

PlayStation 4 has eight x86 CPU-codes titled Jaguar, and is manufactured from Advanced Micro Devices according to Network World. It also comes equipped with upgraded graphics co-processors capable of handling 1.84 teraflops of performance according to information from Tech Hive.

The machine has 500 gigabyte hard drive that can play blu-ray DVDs. There are also eight gigabytes of GDDR5 memory or quick network speed random access memory found in graphics cards. Game makers put 176 gigabytes of network speed a second on the machine since they wanted the computer to run faster.
PlayStation 4 also comes equipped with 11 apps including Amazon Instant Video, Netflix, Hulu Plus. Crackle, Crunchyroll, Epix, NBA Game Time, NHL GameCenter LIVE, Redbox Instant by Verizon, Vudu, and YuppTV.

Sony's previous game console models are the PSone, PlayStation 2, and PlayStation 3 in various sizes. There is also the Playstation Vita, which users can hold by hand.

The Xbox One has an improved kinect sensor, which enables players to operate the device just by talking. Individuals can also connect the console to their satellite television equipment in order to watch TV, and flip back and forth between gaming, and viewing shows The Xbox 360, can also do the same.
