Last week, a Facebook post of an Australian man of Vietnamese origin named "Phuc Dat Bich" became viral after claiming that the social networking site has disabled his account multiple times because of his awkward name.
He even posted a photo of his passport to prove it was his real name.
After the whole world has expressed both amusement and sympathy over the matter (believing the man's claims), "Phuc Dat Bich" admits that the whole thing was a hoax and that his real name is Joe Carr (although it does sound like "joker").
"Do you remember the story; The boy who cried wolf?" Carr/ Bich posted on Wednesday. "Imagine that boy grew up into a mischievous man with 21st Century technology at his finger tips."
"What started as a joke between friends, became a prank that made a fool out of the media," Phuc Dat Bich admitted of his Facebook post, adding that the social media site "needs to understand that it is utterly impossible to legitimize a place where there will always be pranksters and tricksters."
Carr added that the prank has taught him not to trust the media after he successfully conned the biggest news sources "with ease."
On the other hand, Carr acknowledged the fact that the prank brought out a "levit and humanity in a time we need it most."

Before admitting that Phuc Dat Bich was indeed a Facebook hoax, Carr took the time to thank the people who have shown their support towards him in getting Facebook to stop shutting his account down.
"We live in a diverse and multicultural society and the fact that there are people out there who are supportive and encouraging really makes me happy," Carr wrote. "I am glad and honoured to be able to make people happy by simply making them laugh at something that appears outrageous and ridiculous."
Carr's photo was originally posted on January, captioned, "I find it highly irritating the fact that nobody seems to believe me when I say that my full legal name is how you see it,"
"I've been accused of using a false and misleading name of which I find very offensive," the 23-year-old wrote. "Is it because I'm Asian? Is it?"
According to BBC, "Phuc Dat Bich" (were it a real name) would be pronounced as "Phoo Da Bi" in Vietnamese.
Since admitting the prank, Joe Carr or Phuc Dat Bich's original posts have been deleted.
