Lakers Can End Golden State Warriors 15-0 Record, Kobe Bryant Thinks

| By

Golden State Warriors tied the 15-0 record start achieved by Houston Rockets after defeating Denver Nuggets, 118-105. They are surely gunning to surpass the record and set a new history.

With the struggling Los Angeles Lakers standing on their way, will the Stephen Curry-led squad be able to do it? Many believes so but for Purple and Gold's number one star, it is also possible Dub Nation's run will end at 15.

Los Anges Lakers star Kobe Bryant says his team can put and end to Golden State Warriors' record chase.

"I've seen stranger things happen," the Black Mamba told ESPN's Baxter Holmes.

"We've been playing like s--t. We might go up there and we might play like gangbusters up there. You never know."

Golden State Warriors will definitely go for the record. Interim coach Luke Walton, who won multiple rings with the Los Angeles Lakers, insists their goal in mind is still to be able to defend their crown and breaking the best NBA start record will be a bonus.

"Whether or not we get it, it really doesn't affect our ultimate goal of trying to win a championship," he said after his team's win over Nuggets. "It would be something nice to get along the way."

On the other hand, Lakers coach Byron Scott acknowledges they have tough task ahead.

"They haven't had a whole lot of lulls in any of the games that they've played," he said. "When they do [have a lull], they've got so much confidence in the way they play and how they play that they don't panic.

"You can be up by 23 [against the Warriors] and it doesn't matter, especially if they've got two quarters left. It's a difference if you're up 23 with five or six minutes left; then you've probably got a great chance of winning that game. But if you give them 24 minutes left in the game, there's not a whole lot of leads that are too big for them [to overcome]."
