Although Claire Coffee didn't reveal a possible romance between her character and David Guintoli's in previous "Grimm" season 5 spoilers, it seems that Adalind and Nick are slowly easing up on each other after just three episodes in.
In last Friday's episode, "Maiden Quest," Nick moved his family to a warehouse which didn't exactly feel safe to Adalind. She eventually convinced Nick to sleep in her room just to keep their son, Kelly, safe.
Toward the end of the episode, however, Adalind finally broke down and expressed her worry for her baby daddy's safety. They hug and though it would have been shocking to have them kiss this early, they don't.
According to Zap2It, the hug still seemed "to break some of the unwritten rules they made for themselves."
Could this eventually turn into a romance between the former enemies?
According to David Giuntoli, however, there won't be any romantic link between them - at least in the foreseeable future.
"The connective tissue between Adalind and Nick is simply of being parents," he reportedly told Zap2It. "Nick's gonna get out of that house, find a bunker somewhere, and if Adalind is gonna be a good mother, he'll keep her around."
Meanwhile, the possible evolution of Nick and Adalind's relationship won't be the only "Grimm" season 5 spoiler fans should watch out for.
The show's lead actor himself teased that viewers will be mourning more deaths other than Juliette's as the story progresses.
"I'll say this: No character is safe any longer," Guintoli further told Zap2It about the drama happening for the latest season. "We've been on for four years already, we can start shaking it up."
They have indeed shaken things up just a couple of episodes into the new season.
"Season 5 is the closest thing we've had to a reboot," the lead actor shared more "Grimm" season 5 spoilers. "Past characters are gone that you've come to love. The trailer is gone. You'll see soon that Nick's house goes. New sets, new plotlines, new enemies. There's a lot of creative juice to be wrung."
