Taylor Kinney's Kelly Severide had been through a lot of strife in the Season 4 of "Chicago Fire," which started when he got demoted; so a little romance would really help lighten things up for Severide.

In a recent interview with TVLine, "Chicago Fire" executive producer Matt Olmstead teased fans tidbits about what's in store for Kelly Severide saying that the "tide may be turning" for him, at least in the love department.

"We have some things coming up romance-wise for him [Severide]," Olmstead told TVLine.

The note added that "Chicago Med" star Yaya DaCosta who plays April Sexton also revealed in an interview that after hooking up with her high school pal Kelly Severide in the third season of "Chicago Fire," April never really had a closure on her feelings.

"They have a very long history, a friendship and sexual tension that has not been completely figured out yet. So you'll get to witness that," Yaya DaCosta confirmed.

Taylor Kinney and Yaya DaCosta definitely shared an effective onscreen chemistry so fans for both "Chicago Fire" and "Chicago Med" will surely anticipate the reunion of Kelly Severide and April Sexton.

Meanwhile, in a previous report, it was revealed that things may just be about to really change for Severide beginning with Episode 7 titled "Sharp Elbows," where Severide will get a surprise visit from his father.

Severide's father played by guest star Treat Williams, during his surprise visit, will tell Severide "interesting information" about Captain Patterson, who took the position of Severide and whom we see throughout the episodes had been constantly undermining Severide. After discovering the information from his father, Severide may finally go on the offensive and use the information to his advantage against Patterson. It may definitely become the game changer for Kelly Severide.

"Sharp Elbows," the seventh episode of "Chicago Fire" Season 4, will be airing on Nov. 24 on NBC.
