Rebel Wilson, who will be reprising her role as Fat Amy in "Pitch Perfect 3," already confirmed the release date for the much anticipated sequel and further revealed that production will begin early on 2016.
On her Instagram post, Rebel Wilson announced the official release date for "Pitch Perfect 3." She wrote: "Save the date pitches x." The Instagram came with an image of Rebel Wilson and Anna Kendrick with the title, "Pitch Perfect 3, August 4, 2017."

The official release date of "Pitch Perfect 3" replaces the former release date of "Pacific Rim 2," with Universal Pictures being confident that "Pitch Perfect 3" would become a late summer hit.
Variety previously confirmed that Elizabeth Banks will also be returning to helm the third installment of "Pitch Perfect." Banks will also be directing the upcoming adaptation of the young adult fantasy novel, "Red Queen," and the highly anticipated reboot of "Charlie's Angels."
Beca (Kendrick), Fat Amy (Wilson) and Chloe (Brittany Snow) will be graduating from the Barden University so, according to Screen Rant, "Pitch Perfect 3" will center on the life and adjustments of Beca, Fat Amy and Chloe after college. A new member will also be joining the Bellas named Emily who will be played by Hailee Steinfeld. The report added that the former Bellas may reunite to help the new generation of Bellas.
"Pitch Perfect 3" will be penned by Kay Cannon and will be produced by Paul Brooks, Alex Handelman, alongside Banks. "Pitch Perfect" has become a massive musical comedy hit worldwide with the first movie grossing $113 million worldwide while the second film doubled the figures by earning $286 million worldwide with only a budget amounting to $29 million. The film franchise also proved to be a critically acclaimed movie scoring good reviews, the first movie especially.
