Charlie Sheen recently revealed that he's, in fact, dealing with a life-threatening disease. However, he's not the only star with a constant health scare.
There have been other celebrities living with HIV that came out with their sickness to the public for various reasons.
Sheen revealed that he decided to publicly declare his health status because of the people who kept on blackmailing him.
"I have to put a stop to this onslaught," he told Today, "this barrage of attacks and of sub-truths and very harmful and mercurial stories that are about me, threatening the health of so many others that couldn't be further from the truth."
Aside from Charlie Sheen, basketball legend Earvin "Magic" Johnson, revealed that he was HIV-positive in 1991 and has since raised millions to fund HIV/AIDS research.
Rock Hudson, star of "Pillow Talk," reportedly revealed that he was suffering from AIDS some months before he died in 1985. Meanwhile, Olympic gold medallist Greg Louganis revealed that he was gay and HIV-positive in 1996.
Queen vocalist, Freddie Mercury, announced that he was HIV-positive and has AIDS less than 24 hours before his death in 1991. He reportedly kept the disease a secret "to protect the privacy of those around me."
