Christina Aguilera Scared Of Gwen Stefani Taking Over Her Place On ‘The Voice?’

| By

With Christina Aguilera taking her time off from "The Voice" to focus on her family, Gwen Stefani reportedly managed to charm not just the audience but another one of the coaches as well.

According to speculations she could also be charming the show's producers into letting her stay indefinitely.

According to Celebrity Dirty Laundry, the mother-of-two grew scared that Stefani's romance with Blake Shelton will push her out of the singing competition completely.

"Christina is worried that viewers will want Gwen instead of her," a source reportedly told Naughty Gossip. "She has spoke with producers and made it clear that she will be returning and that Gwen is just keeping her seat warm."

The "Hollaback Girl" singer was supposedly asked to sit on the revolving chair for season nine to give Aguilera time to be with her new daughter. However, the gossip site suggested that Stefani has already stolen the crowd's affection away from Aguilera.

On the other hand, the "Beautiful" singer only shared words of support for the couple who found love in each other's arms after splitting with their respective spouses last summer.

"Divorce is a rough thing to go through - I've been through it, too - and both of them are dear friends of mine," she reportedly told Wetpaint. "I've known Gwen for a long time, she's an awesome girl. And Blake is a great guy. They're great people and I know they deserve happiness."

She added that "super happy for them" if they're both enjoying each other's company.

The new couple are already showcasing their budding romance on the show. If their popularity will continue to fascinate viewers, then Christina Aguilera could allegedly be in tight competition with Gwen Stefani for that spot on "The Voice" season 10.

"The best thing that could happen for her is for Gwen and Blake to breakup and become boring," the insider continued to reveal. "If they have an ugly breakup, viewers will want to watch that too. She is in a very difficult position."

Past accusations of the "Fighter" singer causing problems on the set could also force the staff to keep Stefani instead of her.

Perhaps Christina Aguilera and Gwen Stefani could both join next season if the show should decide to do something new and add one more coach.
