"Gotham" season 2 cast has just grown bigger and its latest addition is someone who knows a lot about time travel, although this new character surely does not have that kind of ability.
It is unlikely the show will introduce time travel element since it is more of a crime drama but fans of UK series "Doctor Who" will surely enjoy the next episode called "A Bitter Pill to Swallow" because of the arrival of Missy.
Michelle Gomez, known for her role as Missy in "Doctor Who" has joined "Gotham" season 2 cast as new character called "The Lady."
"'Doctor Who' actress Michelle Gomez is set to make a dramatic entrance in the hit US television show Gotham, which tells the story of Batman as a young boy," Metro reported.
"Gomez, who plays the new version of The Master (known as Missy) in the long-running BBC science-fiction show, will be seen as a new character called The Lady in the next episode of Gotham, available on FOX in the US."
Not much detail is revealed about the Lady but the sure part here is that Gomez will reunited with another "Doctor Who" alum Sean Pertwee who plays Alfredy Pennyworth, Bruce Wayne's loyal butler.
Metro also confirmed Gomez will appear for a multi-episode arc.
"I spoke to Michelle yesterday at the Doctor Who Festival about her upcoming filming commitments and she revealed, 'I'm doing Gotham at the moment for FOX.' So we can expect to see more than just one appearance from the Scottish actress," Metro further wrote.
"Gotham" returns this week for its second season's ninth episode. It will air its mid-season finale on November 30.

"Gordon and Barnes continue cleaning up Gotham, and Gordon comes face-to-face with one of the city's most dangerous hitmen, Eduardo Flamingo (guest star Raul Castillo). Meanwhile, Nygma and Penguin cross paths again, and Bruce pressures Galavan into handing over the name of his parents' murderer."
"Gotham" season 2 cast is still lead by Ben McKenzie and David Mazouz. Biggest additions are Michael Chiklis as Nathaniel Barnes and James Frain as Theo Galavan.
