Even the best falls down sometimes? Or is she still the best?
There is a new UFC queen after Holly Holm knocked out Ronda Rousey in the second round of their UFC 193 main event.
That kick in the head is heard around the world but Holm is not contented. He wants another shot at Rousey as she is not yet settled with just one victory over her more popular opponent.
"I think a rematch makes sense for sure," the 34-year-old said during the post fight conference. "I've been on the losing side of a fight (in boxing), and I wanted a rematch. I wanted to avenge my loss. With a champion like Ronda, who's gone out of her way and gone above and beyond to do great things, absolutely, she deserves a rematch. I don't look at this fight and think I've made it. I think I've still got some things to do."
A Ronda Rousey - Holly Holm fight rematch in UFC is likely to happen but how long does people have to wait? Lance Pugmire of Los Angeles Times said UFC president Dana White won't commit on the rematch yet and when will it happen.
White did insist though that Ronda Rousey - Holly Holm fight rematch is the more sensible next step for both fighters.
"The rematch makes a lot of sense," he said. "I think the rematch is what people would want to see."
Right now, the MMA world needs to wait for Ronda Rousey to recover. White said the 28-year old MMA champ, who now sports a 12-1 record, is completely depressed by the result.
"She was transported (to hospital) because she got knocked out," he said.
White also commented on how the fight turned out.
"I thought Ronda would have more answers. I don't think Ronda was exposed. I think Ronda got beat," White said as per Pugmire.
