Fans have been expecting Square Enix to officially announce the release date of "Kingdom Hearts 3" for quite sometime already.
However, the giant gaming studio has yet to set a date for the highly-anticipated Disney-themed game.
With fans becoming anxious, Tetsuya reveals some exciting details about "Kingdom Hearts 3" character.
According to Design&Trend, the game director teased that the upcoming game will certainly feature the return of a famous character.
"I'm sure there are fans who are aware of its identity already," Nomura said of the villain, which appeared in the non-descript trailer.
Master Herald added that the returning characters were already introduced in the game way back in 2002.
"Those characters come from Disney and Square Enix studios and have been the talk of the town over the last ten plus years. If you have not played the game, you can expect to see characters like Sora, Riku, Kairi, King Mickey, Donald Duck, Goofy and all of the voices that go along with them," the publication claimed.
In a previous interview with Kingdom Hearts Insider, Nomura promised that "Kingdom Hearts 3" will be packed with special features and updates that will enhance the gaming experience of the players.
"In addition to the Keyblade transformations for Sora, it becomes possible to maneuver using specific forms and actions. There will be many battle choices," he said of the game.
"Take whatever strategy, it will be up to the player. Of course, for those who button mash will have an exhilarating experience but for those who want technical fights will also find fun making combinations."
Meanwhile, Yibada noted that "Kingdom Hearts 3" will feature amazing new gameplay techniques to the lead characters.
"A clear ability indicated that in some circumstances, Sora can lock on to as many as 10 heartless while at the same time crushing them at a lightning speed. Goofy as well has a special attack that allows three party members to ride on his Mickey Mouse shield," the report explained.
In line with the returning characters and their new techniques, there have been rumblings that the upcoming game will also introduce characters from the highly anticipated "Star Wars" and "Marvel" movies.
But if Square Enix decides not to do so, Motoring Crunch noted that it could rather include the movie characters' weapond.
"Even if the likes of Captain America and Obi Wan Kenobi don't make it into 'Kingdom Hearts 3,' we feel that Square Enix might introduce the weapons from the aforementioned worlds," the gaming publication mentioned.
The publication pointed out that Sora could "get the ability to wield a light saber." Goofy on the other hand, could reportedly boost his shield by using Captain America's shield.
With the "Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8" release date announced, fans are now expecting that "Kingdom Hearts 3" will soon follow.
