Fans have long awaited the release of the first trailer of "X-Men: Apocalypse" and in an interview with Collider.com, the film's executive producer and co-writer Simon Kinberg revealed that they have scored a prime placement for the first teaser of "Apocalypse" in the upcoming "Star Wars: The Force Awakens," which will be released next month.
"I can in fact confirm that information [referring to 'X-Men: Apocalypse' first trailer attached to "Star Wars: The Force Awakens]," Kinberg revealed in his interview. "Our first trailer will be on 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens'. It's our first thing out there so it is somewhat of a teaser but it's certainly longer than a minute and it has a ton of cool stuff in it."
Bryan Singer last week teased the fans of the new, upcoming first trailer when he posted on Instagram a picture of him and film editor John Ottman in the cutting room with the caption: "Back in the cutting room with #johnottman teaser coming soon."
The last installment of the "X-Men" trilogy will see the younger Professor Charles (James McAvoy), Jean Grey (Sophie Turner), Cyclops (Tye Sheridan) and Storm (Alexandra Shipp). It was previously reported that "Apocalypse" will feature the origin stories of original X-Men leaders: Cyclops, Jean Grey and Storm. Storm, Angel (Ben Hardy), Psylocke (Olivia Munn) and Magneto (Michael Fassbender) will be assembled by the villain Apocalypse (Oscar Isaac) to become his Four Horsemen. The film will be set ten years after the timeline of "X-Men: Days of the Future Past."
"X-Men: Apocalypse" will be joining "Captain America: Civil War," which will have its trailer attached to "Star Wars: The Force Awakens." With trailers being shown in the screening of "The Force Awakens," producers will be assured of a greater reach, especially with "Star Wars" that is predicted to become a massive hit, not to mention the sold out online ticket sale that has broken the Internet.
