While Frank Ocean remains to be MIA together with his new album, details about the highly anticipated record emerged.
Fans of the Grammy winning artist, who are about to lose hope are in for a big surprise.
Ed Banger Records owner, Pedro Winter, may not be totally involved in the development of Frank Ocean's new album, but in his interview with Les inRocks, he may have accidentally revealed that Sebastian is collaborating with Ocean.
"Sebastian has just finished producing a few tracks for Frank Ocean - a truly exciting partnership - and he will finally be able to rest on his second album," he revealed when asked about the future of his label.
And while Winter's statement cleary insinuate the collaboration, he later on backtracked his comment claliming that he has no further knowledge about the new album.
"SebastiAn met Frank Ocean few times, that's all we know. For further infos please contact Frank's management," he said in an interview with Fader.
Ocean's team has however remained tighlipped about the development of the new album.
According to Music Times, Winter may have been forced to backtrack his statement due to Frank Ocean.
"Maybe he is being pressured by Ocean's team to keep the album under wraps as best they can. It is also possible that the two didn't complete any new music," the publication explained.
And while many are hoping that the new album titled "Boys Don't Cry" may come as a surprise, many are also starting worry about the real status of Frank Ocean, The Verge reported.
"As may already be obvious to you, it is no longer July," the report stated. "It is also no longer the month after July. It is, in fact, September, and people are starting to get worried about the location and well-being of Mr. Ocean."
Ocean has been staying away from the lime light, ever since the supposed release of his album in September came.
In fact he was supposed to perform in FYF Fest but decided to back out releasing an official announcement to Billboard claiming,
"Frank Ocean has decided on his own terms to cancel his appearance," it said.
"With a lineup that already includes Morrissey, D'Angelo and the Vanguard, FKA Twigs, Chet Faker, Flume, Belle & Sebastian and more, FYF Fest is excited to have Kanye West play this weekend in his newly adopted home of Los Angeles."
