One Direction members Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne and Niall Horan revealed their plans after the release of their fifth studio album, "Made In The A.M.," in a recent interview with The Sun (via Gossip Cop), where Styles revealed that after Zayn Malik quit, the group has been made stronger.
"It's not over. And yes, we're taking a break, but we need one," confirmed Liam Payne.
After Zayn Malik separated from One Direction, the band had been constantly rumored to be breaking up and that the members are planning to go solo. But in their recent interview, the boy band set the records straight by saying that they are just taking a break. Liam Payne said that they have been exhausted from having released five albums and four tours in five years and they just want to "relax" and "catch up" on life.
The One Direction members added that they will "be coming back" because they "don't want this to end."
The group also opened up about Zayn Malik leaving and how it had affected the band. In the interview, Louis Tomlinson said, "That was really, really hard. We knew it was coming, we saw a lot of signs in a lot of gigs abroad. It was sad."
Harry Styles, on the other hand, said that the absence of Zayn Malik only made One Direction tighter. He said, "It made us really bond... It made us look at what we had and really know we wanted to keep it. Ultimately it just makes you closer."
The recent report is exactly opposite with the recent headlines saying that the real reason to One Direction's hiatus is the "bitter feud" between Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson. "It's been central to everything else that came next with the band because there was suddenly a massive divide," a source told Mirror.
The group is set to take a hiatus next year after the release of their fifth studio album. On what they plan to do during their hiatus, Payne said he just want to have space and let everything sink in, watch movies and concerts, and make up a lot of time with his mum; Tomlinson said he would get a "big fat belly"; Styles plans to watch the series he's missing out like "Mad Men" and "Breaking Bad;" and Horan will go backpacking and finally get inked.
