"Outlander" season 2 cast line up has grown tremendously during the off-season.
This is because the story now extends to Paris and Scotland where Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire (Caitriona Balfe) traveled to at the end of last season's finale.
Executive producer Ron Moore discussed the change in location and somehow gave a clue of what to expect from first half to second half of the season.
"The majority of the shoot is in Scotland," Moore told Scotland Now at Daily Record.
"The story is about half in Paris and the second half of the season returns to Scotland. So for the Paris section what we did was built as many of the interiors as we could at our sound stages in Cumbernauld."
Moore also talked about the changes they need to make on the surroundings for "Outlander" season 2.
"So there's Parisian apartments and salons and drawing rooms and that sort of thing which we would build," he said.
"And we also looked at the surrounding area to see what other houses or historical buildings might have interiors that we can play as French. But for all the exteriors when we have carriages going down the streets in Paris, there's nothing like that here and even Paris doesn't look like that anymore. So we went to Prague and shot there for almost two weeks.
"It just looks like Paris and it's easier to sort of edit up and make it believe. It's called cross-boarding and we just took the scenes that were for exterior streets in Paris and we just shot them together at the same time in those two weeks in Prague."
Moore mentioned Paris-type of scenery since the "Outlander" season 2 cast line up has been joined by several actors who will portray several royal French politicians.
Among the additions in "Outlander" season 2 cast are Lionel Lingelser as King Louis XV of France, Stanley Weber as Le Comte St. Germain, Margaux Châtelier as Annalise de Marillac, and Frances de la Tour as Mother Hildegarde.
