John Diggle is struggling emotionally this season and the events in the latest "Arrow" season 4 episode did not help. Things will get even worse for David Ramsey's character.
Emotions will run high according to a recent "Arrow" season 4 spoiler as EP says fans will finally learn what is Andy's secret and his brother John will not like it.
"We'll definitely be seeing Andy coming up in future episodes and we'll get some pretty shocking answers about what happened to him," executive producer Wendy Mericle told Entertainment Weekly as an answer to a fan looking for new "Arrow" season 4 spoilers.
Before that, Mericle explained how heavy John Diggle is feeling right now, especially because of the revelations in the latest episode titled "Haunted."
"Diggle's really dealing with the grief and sense of loss," Mericle said. "He's grieving two losses, really - the idea of who his brother was and confirmation of why his brother was murdered. The truth is, he knows that his brother was involved in this bad, shady stuff, but he doesn't know how or when or why. He doesn't know Andy's point of view. He's never heard Andy's side of the story."
Andy Diggle was first mentioned in season one and was killed by assasin-for-hire Deadshot through poison-laced bullet. He is believed to be a member of criminal group H.I.V.E. which is also connected to this season's big bad Damien Darhk (Neal McDonough). Last week, he got his hands on the files of his deceased brother through the efforts of Capt. Lance (Paul Blackthorne).
Ramsey earlier teased that his character has his own story arc this season and it is directly connected to Darhk. He also teased more action for Diggle and his wife Lyla.
"Lyla Michaels is going to have some developments with A.R.G.U.S. that Diggle's not going to agree with," Ramsey told Comicbook.com.
"And Diggle's obviously just by association has become part of A.R.G.U.S. in the Suicide Squad. So they're going to get more entrenched in that this season. Lyla's going to get more involved and by association, so will Diggle," Ramsey said on the same interview.
