Cholos Freak Out After Trying Vegan Food For The First Time; Will They Like Vegan Ramen?

Latino-American website We Are Mitu created a video and posted it on Facebook where Mexican-American gangsters aka Cholos try vegan food for the first time and their reactions were priceless.

The We Are Mitu video posted in Facebook already got 21 million views, over 200,000 likes and almost 400,000 shares.

The four meat-eating gangsters, in the viral video, were asked to try for the first time two vegan food: Kale Chips and a fermented tea called Kombucha. The cholos' reactions instantly became hilarious when they began comparing the kale chips and kombucha to marijuana, hand grenades and chloroform. Their reactions range from fears of getting arrested and confusion on what they are putting on their mouth.

"This looks like weed... you're trying to get me arrested." one Cholo said looking at the vegan food, Kale chips, for the first time.

"This looks like bud. I'm on parole, G," one said.

"I'm organic AND raw," another one commented.

"Kambucha, I think I saw that on National Geographic, isn't that like a tribe or something?" one asked. His fellow cholo replied, "Nah dawg, it's probably that girl from YouTube."

One cholo ended up liking the vegan food he tried, saying, "Hey dawg. I didn't like this but now I like this." His companion gagged in response.

The We Are Mitu material easily became a trending video on social media and many are even asking for more cholos videos.

"PETITION FOR CHOLOS TO TRY MORE STUFF," one Facebook user commented, to which We Are Mitu replied, "We see you boo! More cholos coming to you soon."

"It's good to see these homies can be tough and intellectuals [referring to National Geographic comment] at the same time," one said.

These cholos may also want to try a new vegan food in the market, the Vegan Ramen that is now served in Ramen Hood at Grand Central Market, Los Angeles. In its report, Los Angeles Times said that the vegan ramen is contains a rich broth made of sunflower seeds, pork-like cuts made of mushrooms, egg in the middle made of soy milk and nutritional yeast. It also comes with side dishes including fried broccoli with soy and malt vinegar sauce, pickled vegetables and fried tofu smothered in a red al pastor sauce.
